Collections

Collections are ordered groups of clips — think of them as bins or playlists. Use them to curate subsets of your library for specific projects, edits, or themes.

Creating a Collection

Create a collection from:

  • The Collections section in the sidebar
  • The import flow (add imported clips to a new or existing collection)
  • The batch action toolbar when clips are selected

Each collection has a name, optional description, and optional color.

Adding and Removing Clips

  • From the library — select clips and use the "Add to collection" action
  • On import — choose a collection in the import settings and all imported clips are added automatically
  • From the detail modal — manage collection membership for a single clip

Clips can belong to multiple collections. Removing a clip from a collection doesn't delete it from your library.

Ordering

Clips within a collection have a position. You can reorder them by dragging or using the reorder controls. Positions use sparse numbering internally so reordering is efficient without renumbering every item.

Archiving

Archive a collection when you're done with it but want to keep it for reference. Archived collections are hidden by default but can be shown with the "Show Archived" toggle.

Archiving is different from deleting — archived collections and their clip associations are preserved.

Deleting

Deleting a collection removes it permanently (soft delete). The clips themselves are not affected — they remain in your library.

Collections in Filters

The filter sidebar has a Collections section where you can:

  • Include one or more collections — show only clips in those collections (OR logic)
  • Exclude collections — hide clips in certain collections
  • Not in any collection — show only clips that haven't been added to any collection

See Search & Filters for the full guide.
